Today we learned some new words we will use when talking about food webs. If you were absent, please download the note entitled "Food Web Vocabulary". you will find this on the Ecosystems webpage. We looked for examples of these words in the Sharkwater video. We also compared photosynthesis vs. cellular respiration in a chart. If you were absent, please download the template - it's entitled: "photosyns vs. Cell resp" Homework: None, unless you did not finish copying the definitions and complete the Photosynthesis vs. Cellular Respiration page.

Today we took a Cornell Note on "Introducing Ecosystems" based on reading 2.2. If you were absent, you can read and take notes on the bold words and draw a sketch of Fig. 3 or download the note entitled "Introducing Ecosystems". Homework: Read 2.2 and complete # 1-5 on page 35.
We took time today to draw a scale drawing of the earth and where life is on earth. Homework: Complete the handout up to the point (on back) that says 'Gaia Hypothesis'. Also do # 1, 2 on page 31.
Today you wrote your Electricity Unit test. Most finished well before the end of the period, so many of you got started (finished even!) your homework: Homework: Read 2.1. Create a Cornell note - focus on the bold words.
Today you received your Case STudy back and your mid-term mark. The balance of the period was spent on review. Remember that there is a review posted on the electricity page and the answers as well. Homework: Be ready for your unit test on Tuesday. HAPPY EASTER!!
Kirchoff's rules tell us what current and voltage does in series and parallel circuits. This note is not on the website because it is a lot of drawing! Please get from a classmate if you were absent. You do not need to memorize Kirchoff's rules, but you do need to know how to use them. Homework: Read 13.10 and do # 5,6,7 at the end of the chapter.
After taking up all outstanding homework, you were given a bit of time to study an then wrote the quiz. Homework: Please start studying for your Electricity Unit Test - Tuesday april 22nd. Go over your notes and homework. If you want more, there is a review posted on the Electricity webpage.
