Flip Flop - Day #1
FLIP - did the lab (5.2). Homework: Write it up including your observations and analysis questions a) and b) for TUESDAY. FLOP - worked on textbook questions (p. 178 # 1-8 and) and creating a note (on 5.4) Homework: Complete p. 187 # 1-9 Have this done for TUESDAY Today we reviewed some basics of grade 9 chemistry. You did an activity in class. Remember that the slideshow I showed in class is now posted on the chemistry page.
Seatwork: Do 1st 2 sides of handout (2 of 3). Self check your answers! : Homework: Create a point form note on Safety (5.3) AND read about our lab (5.2) You got a textbook today. Take care of it and do not leave in the classroom. You are responsible for returning the textbook I gave you. Remember I copied down the numbers? We discussed how to create a proper point form note from the text. We started a note on 5.1
Homework: Complete the note on 5.1. Remember there is a note on how to take point form notes on the chemistry page. On this note is a live link to the video we watched. This should help those that need another refresher. Today was a bit of a paperwork day. You learned about the course and how it will be run. You also had a chance to set up your science Google folder.
Homework: 1. Set up your Google folder according to handout instructionsif you haven't done so in class. 2. Complete the student 1st day survey (on home page of this website) 3. Have a parent/guardian complete their 1st day survey (on home page of this website). 4. Have a parent/guardiam complete the pink course sheet and sign blue safety sheet 5. Complete 1 paragraph about you and science inside your Google folder if you didn't complete in class. This seems like a lot but its a lot of little things. See you tomorrow!
