These 3 days before exams start is exam prep. You will have review packages each day.
You wrote your climate quiz today. If you were absent, you will write it on Monday. Students were given a practice exam to work on. If you were absent, there will be extra copies in the bin at the back of the room. Homework: prepare for your exams!
Today we reviewed sources of green house gases and mentioned the 3 spheres of the earth. Remember to be able to write about how Ontario will be different in the future if we don't address global warming. Homework: prepare for test tomorrow.
Today we marked your group concept maps on "Impacts of Climate Change on Ontario". These were formative marks. You were given class time to copy this as a note into your notebook AND complete a chart on natural & anthropogenic sources of 5 GHG's: carbon dioxide, water vapour, methane, nitrous oxide and CFC's (use 8.6 and 9.4). Homework: complete above mentioned if not finished in class. Work on concept map (due Friday) and/or preparing for Climate Quiz (Friday) .
Today we finished our note on Past Climate - it can also be found on the CLimate webpage. In small groups, you completed a concept map on "Impacts of Climate CHange on Ontario". Cooperation and remembering how to do a good concept map were reinforced here. HOmework: Read p. 358 - 360 and answer # 1,2,3,4. Answers to these questions can be found on website or at back of book (hopefully).
We finished the '6 degrees' movie and began a note on Past climate. you can download this note from the Climate Change page or click here. Homework: read 358 - 360. Do questions # 1-4 on page 361. Remember, newspaper article due tomorrow. The article itself (click here) and the assignment (click here) are both on the bottom of the Climate change webpage.
We took a note on feedback loops - find on Climate page or click here. We also finished the 6 Degrees video. We have 1 assignment and 1 quiz for this unit. I gave out the newspaper assignment today - it is due Tuesday. If you need to download the description and rubric for this - click here. Homework: p. 357 #3, 5, 7 a,b (on feedback loops) .

If you missed seeing some of the this, search for it on Youtube - you can find it in 4 parts. Homework: Read p. 373 - 378. Do # 107 on page 378
Today we started out Climate Change unit. It will be a short unit! We took a note on Climate Change. You will find it on the Climate Change page or click here. Homework: p. 321 #4, Read 331-332 and do #3 on p. 335. Read p. 338 - 342 and do # 1-7 on . 342 but NOT #2 . If you were away today, make sure you get the 'Earth Energy Budget' diagram from a classmate.
