Rest of class was spent drawing and labelling a leaf in cross section. THis was collected and marked. If you were away, please make arrangements to do this @ lunch./ HOmework: Remember to prepare a mini-review activity for Monday (on organ systems) . It will help prepare you for the unit test on Tuesday.

We took up the answers to the home group questions of yesterday. The balance of the period was spent learning how to study. Homework: If you haven't already, read the relevant sections in the textbook (see yesterday's blog for specifics or check the table of contents). Practise some of the studying techniques we practised!

Today you handed in your questions from the microscope drawing activity you did on Friday. if you did NOT hand in your questions, you may have until Wednesday, but you must have a completed late slip accompanying your work. Today we drew onion root tip cells in the process of dividing (undergoing mitosis). Your drawing as well as your ability to use a microscope was assessed. you also have analysis questions to do: p. 47 a, b, c, f, g, i, and j. these questions are to be handed in for assessement too (summative). Homework: The drawing was handed in during class but you can take the weekend to finish the questions. Questions due Monday.
