Today we had an easter liturgy and we finished our lesson on finding images in a convex lens. No homework. HAPPY EASTER!
Today you wrote the ch. #11 quiz. IF you were done early you were to work on your titlepage (ch. #11 box) and read 12.1 - next lesson.
Today learned how to find an image in a curved mirror. If you were away, please read 11.9 in your text.
Homework: Remember that you have a quiz tomorrow (Tuesday) on everything we learned in chapter 11 including how to find an image in a concave mirror (today's lesson). Today you watched an episode of MythBusters: Archimedes Death Ray. It links directly to what we are learning about light and mirrors currently. Hope you enjoyed this Friday treat. Your final chapter 11 lesson (curved mirrors and finding images) will be Monday which pushes the chapter 11 quiz to TUESDAY. :)
Happy weekend. LESSON #5 - We learned about SALT characteristics today. We also introduced curved mirrors. Homework: p. 493 # 1,2,3
Today we didn't actually do science. We began one of 3 days of OSSLT preparation. By the end of all this preparation you will be more than ready to write that test!
No science homework. :) LESSON #4 - Today we looked at how light behaves in a mirror remembering the Law of Reflection. We used this knowledge to 'find' the image in a mirror. We also learned a short cut that is much easier! Homework: Read 11.6, 11.7 and do #5a & c, 7 and 9.
LESSON #3 - Today we learned a few more properties of light. If you were absent, please get the note from a classmate. We also added a bit to our note on 'Cleaning with Light'. We also got acquainted with the ray box as a tool to study light. We learned how to draw ray drawings. Homework: Read 11.4 and answer # 1 -6. *Remember to check the homework answers on line.
