Saw some videos on cells - uploaded on webpage. Note on cell theory. Homework: complete organelle sheet handed out.
We took up the microviewer sheets. Seatwork included reading 2.1, 2.3 in your text and filling in some worksheets (2) re: cell organelles and their jobs. Homework: finish any seatwork not done plus p. 32 # 2-8, p. 37 # 1,2
We had 12 min. for biology today. We read someof 3.1 together in text. Homework: Finish reading 3.1 and complete # 4,5,6 on page 76. Make sure you have Friday's homework done too as we will take all up tomorrow.
We used a microviewer to look at the circulatory system and introduce the Biology Unit: tissues and organ systems. Homework: Create your 1st note by 1) Sketching Fig. 2 p. 74, 2) Defining: hierarchy, cell, tissue, organ, organ system - you can use www.webster.com if needed. 3) copy Table 1 p. 75 including a sketch of tissues.

Today and tomorrow and the day after (and the day after) are OSSLT prep. Do not forget that your Chemistry Unit Task is due Friday March 25th. Homework: Work on Chemistry Unit Task.
We discussed the Unit Task today. Students chose to work in a pair or solo and chose topics. if you were absent, you will be able to get a topic on Monday. The task is due Friday after the March Break. When we get back, the first 3 days are preparing for the OSSLT Literacy Test. Have a great march break!
