Today we went to see Jay Dixon's presentation.
Today a very short note on natural and anthropogenic sources of greenhouse gases. The balance of the period was to complete your infoposter on Climate Change.
It was handed in at the end of the period. If you were absent today, please see me ASAP to make arrangements to do this assessment. We did talk about positive feedback loops and climate change before turning the period over to you to work on your Climate Change infoposter. You will have 2 days (today and tomorrow) to complete. All work is to be done here @ school. Time at home should be spent working on culminating project (concept maps) due Mon. June 20.
Today we had about 25 min. in class before walking to the Basilica of Our Lady for the Grad Mass. We watched videos on Greenhouse gases, global warming and feedback loops. These videos are uploaded onto the Climate page.
Today we finished the '6 degrees' movie and made our final notes. You can watch this movie by finding the link on my Climate Change webpage. Copy notes from a classmate. We also discussed how we know what the climate was like 1000's of years ago - its called 'proxy' records. If you were absent, please read 8.11 and download the note 'Past Climate' from the Climate change webpage.

Today we started the movie "6 Degrees can change the world". There is a link to this video on the Climate webpage. We are taking notes as we go.
We took a powerpoint note. If you were absent, please look for the powerpoint note. It's called "History of Earth's Climate". There was no additional homework.
Time to work on culminating project. This will be your last in-class period to work on it. You will need to finish @ home now. Due: Mon. June 20th - no late submissions accepted.
