We learned the math behind refraction - there is a downloadable note. Homework: complete # 1,2,3,4,7,8,9 (we took some up in class) and also complete the Snell's Law Chart I started in class. No need to do p. 531!!!
We ran fa refraction lab today. if you were absent, please come see me about running it. The write-up is due Tuesday April 30th. Follow guidelines on handout sheet. Homework: Work on your lab!

We chose research topics today. If you were absent, you can choose tomorrow - make sure to check the list of 'taken' topics. You must do a unique topic. We did a discovery lab re: refraction. Homework: complete the sin i / sin r math for your inquiry. Also read 12.1 and do # 1-5 page 519. Also copy down 2 refraction laws p. 516 if you were absent (they are in your notes if you were present)
You had a quiz today. We also looked at your Physics project. We will have a period next week in the computer lab to begin your research. We will assign topics Tuesday. Remember Monday is a PD day - I'm at school but you are not! :)
We finished our ray drawings that helped us find images in a curved mirror. Homework: pg. 501 # 1-7, 10 Remember - Chapter quiz tomorrow!
Curved Mirrors - We did an inquiry to discover what light does in a curved mirror. Homework: Read 11.9 & work on the hand-out i gave you. Try to draw in the 1st 2 rays (thru focal point and parallel AND parallel and thru focal point). Try to do these for the rest of the drawings.
Took up homework and taught you about SALT characteristics of images. We also took a short note on wave properties of light. Homework: Complete the handout. If you were absent, this handout is in the side basket waiting for you!
